Story Behind the Art:
Aster Abrham comes from a family of weavers and designers. She has been working with groups in Ethiopia to design and market handmade products that reflect modern (and yet authentic) Ethiopian culture for over 15 years. The display of colorful fabrics, baskets and handwoven ware in her workshop are a living testament to the exciting products that reflect Ethiopian culture. Africa's Finest handwoven bags are the outcome of that effort. She works with over 150 weavers who produce these wondrously colorful baskets in various shapes and sizes. In every instance, they reflect Ethiopian colors and culture.
