Story Behind the Art:
This product was created in Central India. When the British removed its armed forces from the region in the late 40s a majority of the industries available for the local economy went with them. The indigenous people went back to the traditional crafts and furniture manufacturing that they had known for generations. Several hub cities of industry have flourished, creating numerous, sustainable, and stable jobs for the people of the surrounding villages. The industry that has been created by products like this has created an unprecedented number of schools, hospitals, and improvements in the infrastructure of the area. This industry has truly created a renaissance in economic growth in the region.

Rosewood Nightstand
Really nice rich, reddish-brown wooden nightstand. Also makes a great living room end table. Nice quality for the price. I wasn't fond of the rust colored door pulls; changed them to antique glass knobs. Would definitely recommend this small table as an accent piece.

Beautiful Nightstand
The white nightstand is simply gorgeous and the distressing is perfect. It is well built and very sturdy. It is on the smaller side so perfect for more compact spaces. Overall, I'm very impressed with both the look and quality of this piece of furniture.

Great nightstand!
I absolutely love this night stand! For the brief period of time I've had it I've received many complements. It's a unique piece with a lot of character. The bottom cabinet can store a bunch of stuff! I was able to squeeze far more stuff in the cabinet than I originally planned for which was great. I love it so much that I'm hoping to buy another! It's also great because the nightstand does not take up a lot of space yet it's deep enough to be able to use for storage space. The top drawer is also great for storage although sometimes the drawer gets stuck when trying to close. Overall I love this night stand! It's really made for a great addition to my bedroom.

Waiting to buy another
I keep waiting for these tables to be restocked so that I can buy another to match the opposite side of the bed! It's hard to find an bedside table this size and shape. The only slight disappointment was that the stain was darker and redder than in the photo, also the table was not as rustic as expected, which I wanted. Still a very solid nicely made piece.

Very nice looking
This product is exactly what I was looking for. My son has an allergy to glue which is in pressed wood, etc. so this product works extremely well. The color matched perfectly with the rest of the bedroom set. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Nightstand
Solid piece. Natural finish looks very nice. A couple of minor scrathes that I wasn't going to mention, but I have to reach the minimum character count. Worth the money.

Excellent nightstands
I am so glad I followed the advice of previous reviewers.....these nightstands were a real find. The shipment was quick, the product was very nice. They are a perfect in-between fit for those who wnat a step above Target or other big box store brands, but can't afford expensive furniture. Actually, I would say even if I could afford nicer furniture, I might still buy these nightstands!

Handmade Rosewood Nightstand
Craftsmanship is excellent and I get the feeling these really are shipped from India. One of the two I purchased had visible shipping damage on the box and one of the top corners was damaged. Overstock service was excellent and they shipped a replacement right away. The replacement had a broken doorstop on the inside door frame which I just glued back together. These items are well packed for shipping (although not indestructible) and require no assembly. Good value for the quality.
