Artisan Story: This bench was handmade in the Judhpur area in the Rajasthan province of India. It was created by local villagers, specifically Mr. Sanjeed and his family. First, they weave the kilim, making it to the exact dimensions and then upholster onto the handmade frame.

Kilim Bench
For the price, the larger bench I got was a better overall value. The colors of the jute kilim covering are not as bright as in the photograph. Overall the bench is well made and sturdy, and I am happy with it.

Worth it
The colors are less vibrant in person than online, but I actually prefer it. The bench also appears taller in the picture, but I honestly didn't pay attention to the height measurements before ordering. It still works for its intended purpose....a place to sit while taking shoes off at the front door. Even knowing what I know now, I would still buy the bench.
