Story Behind the Art:
This puff footstool was handmade in the Judhpur area in the Rajasthan province of India. It was created by local villagers- specifically Mr. Sanjeed and his family. First, they weave the kilim, making it to the exact dimensions and then upholster onto the handmade frame.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Kilim puff footstool
Colors, design, overall shape are fine. Had to air out the product outside for a few days to get rid of "warehouse" smell. Not overpowering, but unpleasant in a winter-heted room. Everything fine once product was aired out. (Perhaps Overstock should do this before they ship them?) Overstock should have provided the dimensions in their description: I wasn't sure how big (or small) the thing was going to be.
