- Measures 7 inches high x 10 inches diameter
This hand-thrown vase is from the Adanague family of Chulucanas, Peru. The three Adanague brothers have been making pottery for over 20 years. They work as a team, each handling a different step in the process. First, the vase is hand-thrown then the design is hand-painted with natural mineral oxides. Finally the vase is fired and smoked, giving it a dark brown coloring. Because the vase is low-fired, using it for water storage is not recommended. Enjoy it as decoration on its own or with dried flowers.
