Story Behind the Art:
Kwasi Asante is arguably one of the most skilled carvers in Kumasi, Ghana. His family has been in the carving business for many years, and Kwasi is able to produce large quantities of carvings with the help of his experienced staff that includes other carvers and subcontract carvers. His carving operation uses fallen logs and government approved lumber, being very eco-friendly. Kwasi has provided much needed income to hundreds of carvers over the years, and has also provided educational opportunities to his children and to his extended family, as well as to others remote villages.

A great piece to add to my collection.
Lost this item (larger) in a hurricane a few years ago. Still a great price for such an unusually handmade artifact. can be used on a table top as a serving stand or just as a conversation piece trying to figure out how the sculpture is one piece.

Love this African sculpture. It actually is larger than I thought. It is primitive looking which adds to it's charm. It has received many compliments from people who have seen it.

I've been wanting one of these statues for awhile. The prices in my town were a bit expensive. I have it on my mantel along with 4 large vases and it really looks quite nice. I'm glad I bought it.
