Welcome guests and good fortune into your home with our Rajastani mirrored window/door toran. This traditional banner is hand-embroidered with lucky elephants and flowers and embellished with dozens of little mirrors. Each Toran is handcrafted by artisans in India and production will vary slightly from piece to piece.

Story Behind the Art:This item, made by women in Gujarat, India, is called a toran, an authentic traditional decorative hand-embroidered welcoming textile made of cotton. They feature elephants, considered very blessed and lucky, and are placed over the door of the entrance to the house. They are colorful and inlaid with little mirrors. Each is slightly different in color combinations so they reflect the handmade quality that one would expect from a home cottage industry product. Expect slight differences in the color combinations but they can be closely matched for a wonderful decorative effect. Each toran is a labor of love, and many hands.

Lovely!
Added two of these (blue) side by side to the door frame above our sliding glass door- perfect frame for the view of the lake, gives me a smile each time I see it. Stitching, mirrors, embroidery: everything is solid.

The color of the panels was not at all like the picture and most of the tassles on one of the panels were missing

I ordered all 3 because they're so beautiful
Ordered one as a gift. Loved the Toran i received so much, that i kept it for myself and ordered another one for the gift. Then kept that one, too :) and ordered the 3rd. I love the way the mirrors almost twinkle when you walk past them because of the changes in reflected light. All the colors are deep, rich colors. The 'yellow' has an edge trim of red, so that contrast was actually not quite as pleasing to me as the more same-palette tones of the red and blue...but it was still beautiful. I have them hung by their sewn-in loops at the top ends (there's one in the middle too) across the start and end of a narrow hallway. It looks beautiful.

Cotton Rajastani Mirrored Window/Door Toean
I chose the blue Toran and I absolutely love it. I hung it up immediately and it looks wonderful in my foyer. It fits nicely in a standard interior doorway and has 3 loops sewn in for hanging. I am quite happy with this purchase.
