These beautiful jewelries are one of the traditional art pieces hand made by the Chinese minority known as Miao people who live in the Southwestern part of China. In this region of China there are many high mountains and historically it has been isolated, hence the Miao people have developed their own unique art and culture separate from the Chinese majority known as Han. When these items are sold, the money can be used to improve the lives of local villagers.
