This top is made of soft, somewhat sheer cotten, but it's opaque enough to be modest. It looks great with pants, and would probably look good with a long skirt as well. I bought it in dark blue, and my friends have already admired it. It's also fun to explain the "Ohm" to friends who've never seen one!Read More
I have always loved Indian style clothing. I have a ton of things my sweet East Indian friend made for me. This kurta is just adorable. It really is BIG. Get one size smaller than you take, honest!!!! If you are a medium, buy a small or you will be swimming in it. Really a nice relaxed item to wear. You won't be sorry. Worth the money. All colors are so nice.Read More
I read the reviews that said this shirt ran large, so I ordered an xl (I usually wear a 2x) and they were right. It fits perfect! I love the length goes great with leggings and boots. The color is a very pretty royal blue, with with markings ( I don't know what the symbol means, I wish they would have put it in the package).Read More
These aren't as nice a cotton as the ones I have bought in the past but they are still nice. They wash up nicely. They are wonderful to throw on over a little modesty t shirt. And I never wear one without hearing at least one positive comment from a complete stranger. I always tell them where I found the product. This is a good garment.Read More
Thank - you to those who gave the heads-up on how large this kurta is. I bought a medium (which was a perfect fit with room to spare) and a large. I am a size 12/14 38DD weighing 155lbs. The large was much too big. I'll give the large to my husband. It's very comfortable and the black and white looked fabulous with slim white jeans or tan slacks. It looks nice dressed-up or down with a feminine touch, because for me it has a "somewhat" masculine look.Read More
Wow, glad I read reviews. Order one size smaller and it is perfect. Hides all the spots you want to hide. COMFORTY!!! Wish I had ordered all colors. This is a gotta have go to shirt.Read More
Love it, love it, love it! Well made, washes well, very little (if any shrinkage). Ordered the saffron color and really liking it, not too bright, not too dull. Very well made, hidden pockets a plus. You can press the Kurta off a bit if you over-dry it (would recommend inside-out) but not an absolute necessity, IMO. Would love to have the black one real soon. One of the most well constructed tops I've purchased in quite a while; get many compliments.Read More
These tops are very versatile - long enough to toss over a swim suit and walk to the beach bar - pretty and "solid" enough to wear as a top over jeans or yoga pants. Or, on it's own as a very chic "house dress" - I bought two and wish there were more colors to choose from. Soft sheeting, washes beautifully and gets softer. If you hang it up right from the washing machine or dry it for 10 minutes and hang you don't have to iron it.Read More
Well I checked the reviews before I bought this kurta (the blue) so I knew the characters wouldnt be white and that the color wouldnt be true to the photo: and with that aside I was very happy with my purchase. There will be a tendency for the strong color to "rub off" on you and in water. Definetly wash seperately and dont be surprised for a little color, at least in the blue, to find itself on you.Read More

Hi. Neighbor got one of these on my account. She had me send it back. It looked so cute I bought 3 for myself. I got them smaller than normal and still nice and roomy. That is what an East Indian Kurta is. I have a lot of that type of clothing after living in a highly East Indian populated community and lots of friends one of who made me a few things. These are soft and comfy. Thanks Overstock!!!!!

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
How to Care for Amber Jewelry
Amber is an attractive but delicate ornament. Popular for its deep golden color and natural patterns, amber decorates both antique and modern jewelry, from beaded necklaces to rings and earrings. Handmade amber jewelry from places like Poland, Thailand and India lends an eclectic look to any outfit. This jewelry requires special care, as amber is soft and can be easily damaged by even mild chemicals. If exposed to sudden changes in temperature, amber can crack or even break. For these reasons, care should be taken to protect amber jewelry when wearing, cleaning and storing it. With proper care, your beautiful jewelry will last a lifetime.
