Story Behind the Art
Chaba Decor items are handmade in Thailand of recycled wood, salvaged from old torn down houses, boats, schools and buildings. Each frame and accent item is one of a kind and in effect, an artifact due to the process of its creation. We are proud that these frames and other decor pieces are used to capture the memories, art, and the essence of life whilst being entirely eco-friendly.
Chaba Decor promotes sustainability and fair trade by purchasing wood pieces from local woodworkers who set out to collect wood from torn down building sites, including some old tsunami wreckages. We then employ local artisans to make our items using their original craft and manufacturing methods in Thailand.

What a disappointment!
This is probably one of the worst buys that I have made online! First of all the color is not purple! It is an ugly pink color. It looks like a child painted it with finger paint. I love the shabby look but there is nothing chic and shabby about this frame! I bought it for a Christmas present but of course this is not going to be given now! Buyer Beware! The online picture is not the product that you will receive. I guess I should say something nice about this... ummm… the shipping was fast. :)
