I purchased this as a Mother's Day gift. My parents both loved it. We are Chinese and they of course instantly recognized and appreciated that it is bamboo. The sound it makes is soft and mellow. It looks fragile, but being bamboo it should be pretty sturdy (bamboo is used as scaffolding when constructing buildings in China). Just FYI, if you are looking to give it as a gift, it doesn't come in it's own box. It arrives wrapped in brown paper. Easy enough to just put it in a nice gift bag though.

This lovely chime was purchased as a gift for a relative's birthday. The bamboo features were a real hit and the sound from the chimes is quite enchanting. It really livened up the cornered it was hung in. Maybe a real bird may find it home!

I ordered this as a gift and the person keeps it inside so I don't know how well it would hold up outside, but it looks great just like the picture! Looks like a souvenier you would buy on an exotic trip

I use it inside around my bar and casino area....Have many different ones I have bought from Overstock and really like this one.....If your into wind chimes as I guess I am, you'll be pleased with this choice.

I read the reviews before purchasing & I'm surprised at this many good reviews. I did not like it at all. It does not sound good and it needs a big draft before making any sound. I wanted to return it but they want $xx shipping to take it back so it's not worth the effort.

This is such an awesome wind chime, the sound from the bamboo tubes, is so calming, and subtle. When I hear the chimes, I feel that I have been transported to some virtual island paradise. Its really lovely.

The chimes were a gift to my mother, she collects them and i figured it would buy me some brownie points :) anyway fast shipping and everything was expected. my momma loved it and since it was my first purchase on overstock i am pleased and will def be using the site more often.

I'm not sure if a bird will actually use the house, but it looks nice. Also not a bad idea to combine chimes and a birdhouse.

If you love birdhouses and windchiimes -- you will LOVE this -- it is quite unique -- LOVE IT! The chimes are very soft -- very nice if you have higher winds and don't want to hear CLANG CLANG CLANG! :)

I am very happy with my wind chime. It was made well, and is a decent size. It doesn't make much noise, but that's okay with me. I wanted it for decoration. If you are wanting to hear the classic wind chime sound, this product isn't for you. It has more of a low, hollow sound because of the bamboo it's made from. It must be made pretty well, because it survived a storm that took out our neighbor's huge maple tree. Pretty impressive.

I bought this for my mother's birthday and she loves it! The glue on the construction was a little poorly done, but overall this was a great buy!

I ordered this product for my mother's birthday. It's really cute. Yes, a small bird can use the birdhouse. The only issue I had was how the product was packaged for delivery. I feel lucky that the product wasn't ruined while in route to me. Besides that I would recommend this birdhouse wind chime.

I just had 3 baby Carolina wrens leave my bamboo birdhouse chimes! So yes birds can use it if they choose to.

I bought this for my mom for Mother's Day -- she absolutely loved it! I'd give this more than four stars, but the delivery took a day longer than what was scheduled. But Mom's happy, so it's all good! :)
