pretty but not amazing
The necklace is pretty. However, the pendant looks smaller than the picture. The stone itself is beautiful, but the metal pendant setting looks kind of cheap (mine was slightly warped, but luckily you can only tell up close). The chain is thin and seems a bit flimsy, so you have to handle it carefully. I don't think it could stand up to everyday wear. It's better for special occasions. I think for the value it's a little overpriced, but then again you are paying for the "handmade" craftsmanship. I would recommend it for an inexpensive gift, but don't expect it to be the same quality you would get from a jewelry store.

Nice piece but necklace too short.
I bought this necklace to go with the matching earrings. I was going to Tulum Mexico for 2 weeks and wanted to only bring down one piece of jewelry , and opals go with ANYTHING! :-) Well I was a bit disappointed when I put on the chain and it fit like an 18 inch instead of what was said"Opal hangs from a 20-inch sterling silver chain. Oh well.. I'll take off the pendent which is very pretty and a nice size and put it on a better sterling chain that fits better. I will go to a craft store and buy pieces to make the chain longer later.
