Peruvian artisan Cesar Gonzales has worked as a stone carver since 1988. 'I work in stone because of the beautiful things that can be made with each kind,' he says. 'I like stone's naturalness and purity of color.'

beautiful
I love this sculpture! I have a collection of oblisks and this fits well with them. I needed something to bring them together and the color is fantastic. Nice and heavy piece. Would even look good sitting on a desk as a paper weight. I look at it and feel the weight and run my fingers over the cold stone and wonder how he got the stones to blend together so well. It's absolutely beautiful.

I loved it the colors matched it was heavier than I'd expected however much smaller than I anticipated I got it as a birthday gift for my mother though and she absolutely loved it and it matches just about any room decor
