Product Features:
Peruvian artisan Alejandro Chavez specializes in the creations of retablos, a kind of reverent diorama-altar unique to the Ayacucho region of Peru. He learned this technique as a boy in school, when he was 17 years old and living in Ayacucho. When Chavez returned to his hometown, he began working in the studio of Angel Castro, a master artisan. Here he refined his techniques in the creation of retablos. Later, Chavez formed his own workshop after the death of his teacher and began to give shape to his art. The customs and traditions of the Andean people emerge in every piece.

Perfectly beautiful
I ordered this with 2 other Mirrors by the same artist. I love them. The detail is beautiful, the colors are beautiful. The detail on the sides is very nice too.I hung them in a long hallway on the wall. They remind me a little of religious fresco's in some churches I visited in Padua. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I did not realize they were signed by the artist. That's an added bonus. the finish was a little darker than the other 2 I ordered and also square which made for a nice contrast.
