Story Behind the Art:
Thai artisan Alaya Cholprasertsuk was introduced to the arts very early. As a child, she studied drawing and painting and also participated in Siang Dek (Children's Voice), a newspaper whose writers, artistic directors, and journalists are children. She loves to design batik with earth tones. She admires dull colors, which tell about her simple, easy, and free character. She enjoys mixing colors and creating her own tones. 'This craft is my pride and my life and I think I have found my way,' she says.

Beautiful!
I love this artist and have purchased some of her other work. This did not disappoint! Colors are fun, detail is great and lively. There are two rod pockets, one on the top, one on the bottom so you can use whatever rod you want to hang. Just love it. Definitely recommend.

Love this wall hanging.
I love this wall hanging, reminds me so much of my trip to Thailand. The colors are gorgeous and tie well into pastels. We have a hideous pink baby blue, and mint green tiles in our bathroom, somehow this tapestry is able to pull all those colors together. The shipping took quiet awhile compared to other purchases I've made from Overstock. Also, be aware, there are no tapestry materials included to hang this item you'll have to find a method of hanging on your own (curtain rod, tapestry holder, etc...). There are two slots on the top and bottom to put dowels or rods through.
