Story Behind the Art:
'I learned from an early age to work hard to be able to provide for one's family, because I had to work when I was in primary school,' says Mexico's Pedro Alba. 'With a lot of effort and hard work I managed to stay in school and graduate as a teacher. I supplemented my income as a salesperson for a ceramics workshop and eventually I opened my own 'Talavera' ceramics workshop. I've taken quite a few ceramic courses around the country and my technique is completely handcrafted. Over the years my workshop has grown to such an extent that I can now offer work to people in my community.'

Vibrant
Very pleased with this product. The craftsmanship was so well done and the colors are vibrant. The artist used a raised glazed in the blue details...you can see it and feel it....they drilled two holes on the back rim of the plate in the advent one would want to hang it. I intend to use it for food and when not in use its on display in the kitchen to please the eye.
