Story Behind the Art:
Born in Valparaiso, Chile, Raul Fuenzalida settled in Mexico in 1979. 'I graduated from college with a degree in architecture and went on to study fine art. I'm currently working on a project with the Mexican government to establish artisan workshops in the desert zone. Due to its location and climate, there aren't many opportunities for the people who live there. I'm involved with everything from implementation to training, so that artisans can learn new techniques and designs, and provide their families with a better life.'

PERFECT!
The lamp is perfect, though the photo depicts a high gloss, the lamp is actually a bit duller than I expected, which worked in my favor.. It's beautiful.

Beautiful lamp
Purchased a red lamp and burlap shade at a well-known, high quality chain store. Not the right shade of red and could see bulb through the lampshade. Took it back and ordered this. While a little smaller, it is much more expensive looking. Deeper red. Great shade. About 40% of the price of the first lamp I purchased elsewhere.
