I love artistic useful items. This complements my large brass trays that my parents got in Cairo in the 50¿s. It brings to mind the broken layers of rock pushed up in the Rockies with the different sediment layers. Color is awesome, as with any rock item each is unique. I Have never spent this much money for a lamp, but I agree that it is worth every penny!! Especially as a decorative lamp, it takes a small bulb, and would not provide light to read by¿.. But as indirect lighting goes, it is the champ of my collection, minimal glare on the big screen as an added bonus! My only comment is that the lighting fixture which holds the bulb was loose, I easily fixed that with epoxy, it appears that it was fixed to the bottom of the bowl in the lamp but I expect the raw stone could have had fine dust that allowed it to dislodge. That is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars on craftmanship, the craft of the lamp its self is awesome. It came in EXCELLENT packaging well wrapped with lots of padding ad arrived 3 days after I ordered it. Thanks to Overstock World stock for another superior purchase!
