Story Behind the Art
This rug was created in the Varanasi region of India, in the Bhadohi village. These rugs are made by Mahmood Alam and his family. They are hand-tufted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helps out in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to the youngest daughter, Jamila. They process the wool, themselves in their home, prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of the wool are done in their home.

good quality
Overall rug is good quality, delivered very timely, and the size is accurate. I am disappointed with the color. To me the picture appeared to be earth colors- blk/brn to beige. The rug is green to beige. The green is not a dark hunter green either, it appears to be a kelly green (bright) then olive, sage, and beige. I would recommend the rug to a friend if the color matched their decor. I feel the descripton of the rug "multi-color" is not accurate. Not sure yet if I will keep it.
