Story Behind the Art
This rug was created in the Varanasi region of India, in the Bhadohi village. These rugs are made by Mahmood Alam and his family. They are hand-tufted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helps out in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to the youngest daughter, Jamila. They process the wool, themselves in their home, prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of the wool are done in their home.

Color All Wrong
I was so excited to see the sale on area rugs. I spent a lot of time reviewing your inventory and I did note some of the reviews stated the colors weren't true to the computer picture. Well, I bought this one anyway and it is a great quality carpet for the price, but the beige looks like a taupe and the red is a dark burgundy. This won't work for my space. On top of that, the item is not returnable. I will never buy an item for home decor that I don't get to see first...buyer beware.

This rug is beautiful. The quality and the pattern are both amazing. The price is at least twice cheaper than in any other store. Great buy!
