Asunta Pelaez tells her story, 'At first my husband's family taught me, then we united our skills and labor. I realized that the more I practiced, the more this craft won me over, offering me tremendous gratification. Now I consider it a way of life. This whole process demands incredible patience and attention to detail. My designs are inspired by nature, and by traditional scenes from my town and region. I feel very proud of the works that I create.'

Beautiful, hand painted mirror
I can not believe how lovely this mirror really is. I can not wait to be able to order more in this style. It arrived fairly quickly, much quicker than I thought it would considering the other reviews I had read about mirrors in the same product line. It was carefully wrapped to guard against breakage. It was immediately ready to hang, very sturdy, I have no fear of it falling. It is truely a work of art, I am so pleased. Overstock never seems to let me down!
