Superbly crafted by master Olu of Ghana, he named this piece 'Asantewaa' after a strong and powerful Queen Mother of Ejisu, an area that is now a part of modern day Ghana. Olu mentors most of the new carvers in Foase. He is seen as a leader in the community, providing educational opportunities for his large extended family.

Great display stand.
I love this table and was glad that I bought 2. I am using to display some African pieces and they complement very well. The color and height work well with my decor and the tables are sturdy. This is a good buy.

great quality but smaller than it appears
pretty much everything i have in my home is from africa , so when i saw this table i just had to get it. However when it arrived i was not pleased with its size for it was not posted in the description... No i did not send it back because it was a beautiful piece . Hope this review helps you

Two different designs!!!!
I order a pair of this table, but I received one rectangle and one round, black ebony mask table I wasn't home so I was surprise when I returned ,three weeks later, to find two unmatched tables I didn't stress over it because they are being used for plant stans and I had viewed the other table. I was dissapointed that the rectangle table was sold out because I was going to oder at least three more My niece wanted a pair So, she wasn't able to have them for her birthday present. PLEASE contact me if you receive anymore of these tables. I love the colors.
