Story Behind the Art:
Anyone who knew my mother knew her love of animals and I will devote my life to her causes as well. My mother, Bonny Karstadt Shah, founded the company with my father Ratilal (Ray or RN) Shah soon after they were married, in 1968. Despite my mother's passing in 2004 and my father's in 2008, I have come a fierce determination to take Maharani to a new level that would have made them proud. Both of them were dedicated to fair trade and immediately stepped in to help to rebuild homes for hundreds of villagers out of their own pocket after Kutch, part of Gujarat, was hit with a major earthquake in 2001. Both were big supporters of educating women, helping dozens of bright students get their nursing degrees, and we are continuing the dream.

I really like the product color and size! AGAIN didn't like the texture at all.....

I ordered this item for a screened in porch area. I was looking for an indoor/outdoor rug. This is more like a mat you would use at the beach. Very lightweight, would blow away in a strong wind.

okay rug for price
The rug is okay for the price. The color is nice and accurate to the screen. It is woven out of a material that feels like plastic. It would be best suited for an outside rug or an area that just needs a splash of color.
