I really like this type of home decor, and was very excited when my boyfriend found this on Overstock.com. However when the package was received I was rather disappointed with the shipping packaging. The pedestal has two chipped corners and the top came right off as it was removed from the box. I am aware that this piece is suppose to have a worn look, but as it was evident in the box it was shipped in I strongly believe the corners where damaged in shipping. As for the top, yes, this is a handmade product but some precautions could have been taken to ensure the quality of the piece. Over all, it is a very beautiful, and delicate piece. I love it and it fits well with my room's decor. I do recommend this piece to anyone that likes this type of decor, just be wary of shipping.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. when received the pedestal was slightly damaged in shipping. Stain was chipped of the corners and the top came right off when it was removed from box.

Great deal for the money.
Item is a bit darker than pictured (very muted yellow) and has a slightly distressed look, but I like that. Very sturdy piece and good value.

Really nice color scheme
This is a terrific looking plant stand. The stand itself is I think compressed hardwood, nothing fancy as far as that goes, but they made great use of color and design. The background color is a deep gold to sepia, with the green tints being of a very restful and "antiqued" hue. The top is treated possibly with a resin material so it is amenable to cleaning if you over-water your plant. The design on the sides may not do well if you get it wet, as it seems to be a heavy paper material affixed to the stand with adhesive. This looks terrific in my gold colored dining room!
