Story Behind the Art:
Juan Pablo Borcoski is a member of COMPARTE (Comercializadora de Productos Artesanales Exportables) a non-profit organization that exports Chilean handicrafts around the world. As members of IFAT, Comparte's mission is to improve the standard of living for owners and employees of Chilean handicraft workshops, by promoting and exporting various handmade products of the highest quality, while supporting these same artisans through technical and product development assistance programs. Purchasing COMPARTE products helps improve the living conditions of their artisans and craftsmen by paying fair prices and stimulating justice in the workplace of the developing world. The artisans often work from their homes. In some cases adult children work alongside their parents while younger children attend school.

Much prettier than photo
These earings are much prettier than the photo. The ends appear almost white, in the photo, when they are really more blueish and the bubbles in the middle give the appearance of water. They are true to the size indicated as the glass part of the earing is about 1.25" long. Very pleased!

Exactly like the picture
The colors of these are exactly as pictured. Vibrant blues. I like the earrings, but they are a little smaller than I usually wear. They are about an inch and a 1/2 in length (the glass part). A little longer with the wires. The glass is pretty and different.

These earrings exceeded my expectations. The colors are vivid, deep, and just gorgeous. The fact that they were made by Fair Trade artisans in Chile is a big bonus.

Blown glass is an "art" in itself. These earrings are a beautiful representation of the quality offered @ O.Com. The colors are one of our favorites. Blue glass gorgeous!
These blue glass earrings are unique and very pretty. The presentation is a nicely folded card in a plain brown gift box (great for stamping)showing the earrings to their best advantage. They are flat, long rectangles that catch the light beautifully. They are substantial but not so heavy to draw the ear piercing down which looks so unattractive. They are boutique quality and go easily from day to night. They look fabulous with jeans and a classic white blouse!.
