Nyoman Rena was born on October 11 as the third of five children. After graduating from elementary school in 1983, Rena was introduced to a famous silversmith in his village by his father. Since then, Rena began learning to craft silver jewelry on Sundays.

A great gift
I purchased this as a gift for my friend. The garnet was a little more pink than red, however she still loved it--and it was her birthstone. What impressed her the most was that it was hand crafted, and its association with Novica. A gift made all the more special because of its origins.

Excellent gift!
I bought this for my friend's 60th birthday as a remembrance of our day at the Rose Bowl Parade. Wanted something with a flower and the fact that this had her birthstone- was a double bonus! The flower is a perfect size and the details make it look very lifelike. The fact that this is a National Geographic artist design made it more special. Perfect size to add to a charm bracelet also!
