etcartwork from Seattle, Rating:5.0I didn't see the item in person. I sent them as a gift for 12 year old boys. One of the boys is artistic, and the other is an avid soccer player. I never give technology because they have everything. Their mothers said the boys loved playing with something other than the computer. They both said it was a beautiful object in itself. The artistic boy took it apart and put it back in minutes. The soccer boy had some trouble. I think it's a great gift...a different gift but beautiful or any age or gender.

uestwulf from Long Island, NY, Rating:5.0I just received this chess set as a gift from my girlfriend. I love chess and she knows that I have always wanted a set that is unique. I can gladly say that I am not disappointed. This is a beautifully crafted chess set. I love the subtle differences between the pieces. It’s a nice reminder that the set was hand crafted. I appreciate the time and effort that went into making it. Both the marble and the onyx pieces have a nice weight and feel to them. The board itself is a work of art. The squares as well as the pieces compliment each other very well. There are small flaws in one or two of the pieces. Just another reminder that this board is one of a kind. They do not take away from the overall beauty and will not stop me from enjoying every single game. My sincere thanks to the crafters!
