I could tell the quality of the 'workmanship' as soon as I opened the package. The hinged lid fit together nicely, the dice were crafted correctly, the finish, smooth and shiny, and the paint was carefully applied. I am so glad that I chose this product for someone that is dear to me...And I am so glad that you give artisans around the world a chance to share their talents! Even though it wasn't much-I'm happy that I was able to be a small part of this opportunity too, by purchasing this lovely wooden box.

A very beautiful piece! The re-assembly instructions were very difficult to read as it was a poor photocopy.

A nice wood puzzle. A tad small, maybe, but nice just the same. Pieces fit tight but came apart easily enough. I'll let you know when I figure out how to put it back together.

Item came in good condition. It was a little smaller then I thought it would be. My son likes it though and that's all that counts in my book.

Nice handcarved wooden puzzle that is appropriate for children 6-10. Was a bit easy for adult but still interesting to do once.

Two benefits for the price of one - art and game. This chess set is great as decoration - piece of art - and also serves as a functional game. I have owned this for about a year now and have really enjoyed it.

I bought this because of the good reviews, so I was expecting a higher quality piece for $25. This piece is more like a $1 item you find in a tourist shop. The quality of the wood is poor - unmatched pieces and the carving is bad, rushed. some pieces were not even solid wood, they had some cheap filler glue. Basically, when the puzzle is apart, the individual pieces look really bad because of the dark glue filler material used to repair some of the pieces. I would not buy this item as a gift and will be returning it.

I purchased these for my 14 mo niece - and they are a hit! Not only with her but her parents as well. They are clearly a quality product with great attention to detail. They took awhile to arrive, so order in advance, but well worth the wait!

Puzzle was well made and looks very nice on a coffee table, but if you are looking for something that will take you more then a couple of minutes then you might want to find something a little more complex. The exterior design is very well made with detailed carvings and the finish has a worn authentic feel.

I purchased this puzzle for my nephew, but I'm tempted to keep it for myself! Not only is it fun to play with, it's attractive enough to display as a conversation piece. The dimensions are true to those stated in the description.

Things you should know: 1. The image on the site and the product are different. For instance the pawn is half the size (my girlfriend accurately described them as "missing their torsos" as compared with the photo). I returned the first set because of this, asked them to send me something at least close to the photographed product, and received the exact same thing except... 2. Pieces were broken. Each piece is made of two parts and roughly glued together, but one king arrived in two pieces. However, even if they stay in tact, pieces were often chipped. For example a black bishop was chipped exposing a large patch of white, unsightly stone beneath. 3. If you care about the interior (I don't), it's not put together well. The case feels like it might fall apart at any given moment. I was sitting there thinking "I could glue the king back together and use a marker to color the stone and buy a finish for the interior wood and buy new hinges and...wait - didn't I just buy this?" I was hoping to buy a nice chessboard at a decent price, but this was not it.

I purchased this as novelty gift for my son-in-law for Christmas! I hoped it would not be easy or cheesy! He allowed his one year old daughter to help him open it...she promptly pulled the center piece out . It took a week to put back together, not easy at all. He now has it sitting on his office desk and only the brave take it apart haha. Mission accomplished.

This puzzle is a fabulous conversation piece, decorative piece and entertainment all in one attractive little package. The price was excellent and I ended up purchasing three; one as a gift for someone who is difficult to buy for, one as a gift for a puzzle lover and one for myself. The puzzle itself is beautiful and makes a unique gift but that is made even better by the story behind it and the obvious craftsmanship. Any way that you can support a worthy cause makes you feel better about the gift you're giving and it also makes it a better gift to receive. I would highly recommend this to anyone and I will most likely purchase similar items in the future as gifts... and for myself!

Many educational toys and games can help children develop their listening skills. Children often have difficulty developing good listening skills, and by playing educational games with your children, you can bond with them and guide their learning. Some learning and educational toys encourage independent learning while still focusing on listening comprehension. By using a variety of educational games and toys available focused on listening skills, children can learn while having fun. Improve Listening Skills: Board games: Board games require kids to listen to a set of rules. To play, they must retain the rules they just heard. Instead of letting the kid read the rules, read the rules to them. Have them repeat the rules back. The practice of repeating and using the rules they've learned helps reinforce their ability to listen and remember. Video games: Age-appropriate educational video games work similarly to videos, music, and other auditory games. These games can be played alone or with others. Video games can be played on most game consoles, on computers, and through many websites. To complete game tasks, kids must listen to and remember instructions. Auditory games: Games such as "Simon Says" or "Bingo" require kids to listen in order to play. If they don't listen, they can't perform tasks correctly. Children like to win games, and games that focus on another player stating steps or have an audio component to state tasks and steps will encourage kids to improve their listening skills. Play these games with your child to help make the games more fun. Books: You can turn any children's book into a listening game. Read a book to a child and ask questions afterward. For every correct answer, provide some type of reward. If reading to a group, turn the questions into a group game. Many books focus solely on improving listening skills, such as riddle books which require kids to listen to and remember all details before they can solve the riddle. Other books include guessing games such as "20 Questions." To guess the answer, kids must remember the answers to the 20 questions. Videos and music: Many kids' movies, shows, and songs are actually full of games. These games require children to listen carefully to perform the desired task. Typically, these tasks include saying a certain phrase or doing a certain dance or exercise move. These tasks build upon each other to develop kids' ability to listen and remember what they've heard.
