The combination of freshwater pearls and amethyst was striking and warranted compliments. The amethysts are Royal Purple and appear black from a distance. The pearls are accented with small "silver" beads not "gold" as shown in picture. Overall I was very pleased.

This necklace is quite elegant. It's shorter than the picture but I have a thick neck. It's gorgeous all the same. It's a beautiful necklace without the large price. I highly recommend it.
