Story Behind the Art:
Nestor Yana hails from the Puno region of the Peruvian highlands, renowned for good quality alpaca and sheep wool. He has been dedicated to the textile arts for over 25 years. Yana and his siblings learned the different weaving and knitting techniques from their parents. When he first began to weave, he worked on rustic looms he built. He sold them at local markets until eventually they were able to acquire modern machinery, which in turn allowed him to develop newer designs.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

LOVELY BUT HUGE!!!
This cape is beautifully made, but was HUGE on me. If you are 5"4" or under, don't get---it will swallow you. Material was very scratchy around around my neck. I returned it.
