Story Behind the Art:
Husband and wife team that met traveling in Asia 17 years have created a socially responsible initiative that supports those very rare surviving artisan groups in Asia. The accessories from China are organized by a family with whom they have worked for many years. They organize small tailoring groups where the workers are paid by piece for their efforts. No factory or child labor is ever used. Workers are paid higher than average wages and are free to move on at any point. Typically there are waiting lists to become a tailor with their artisan groups. Most of the families we supported by this initiative have gone from having no running water to purchasing land, motorized vehicles and sending their children to college. Thank you for supporting this ever growing initiative with great artisans that now have the ability to expose their products to the global market.

Disappointing bags
The fabric is made out of a cheap material, like the supermarket reusable bags. Definitely not worth the price. I bought these for my daughters and they were pleased with the pattern, but I wish I haven't gotten three of these...
