Story Behind the Art:
Chinese ceramic stools date back to the Ming dynasty. Our garden stools are 100-percent handmade by high fire process. The color of glaze will not fade or change. They function as an extra seat, foot rest, small table, plant stand, cocktail table, etc. Made in Jingdezhen (Jingde Town). It has been termed the 'Porcelain Capital' because of its production of quality china. It has a 1700-year-old history of china production. There are thousands of workshops in Jingdezhen, generation after generation.

So lovely, hard to decide where to put it!
I got this gargen stool for our deck, but when it came, I thought it was too lovely to use for only part of the year, so I think it's going in my master bath now so I can see it year round! It is really beautiful, very high quality and an unbelievable value. The colors are vibrant and the structure is terrific. My husband was shocked it was a stool - but it is really quite comfortable to sit on and at a good height. I think this is a great acquisition!

Exactly as shown
This was exactly what I was looking for to use beside a wing chair in a traditional living room....perfect to hold a book, glass of tea, etc, without taking up too much space and adding a touch of color and pattern to the room. Arrived quickly, well packed, in great conditions. Colors were exactly as shown. Sturdy, too!

Vibrant and very upscale in appearance
I bought this for a porch that gets quite a bit of afternoon sun and I wanted something that wouldn't fade. This appears to be good solid ceramic/porcelain. It is a beautiful piece and I completely understand why the other reviewer would move it indoors! It is worthy! Looks very expensive and is a useful height for a foot stool or side table. It is heavy and well made.
