  Regardless of what others have written about this floor lamp, I was hesitant but couldn't resist to see for myself. WE LOVE THIS LAMP. It is the perfect brilliant orange, well constructed, and definitely not flimsy at all. When on, it gives off such a warm ambience to our whole room. It's exactly the color shown, but what they don't tell you is that when off during the day, it's also a brilliant statement. Definitely not subtle, which is what I was looking for. We have a asian/hindu/ecclectic look going on and this tied in perfectly.

  OMG! NICE HEAVY LAMP BEAUTIFUL COLOR ON AND OFF. WHEN OFF, MORE GOLDEN AND CREAM. THEN WHEN LIT A HINT OF ORANGE. JUST PERFECT. LOOKS LIKE A BEAUTIFUL VASE AND WHEN I TURN IT ON, IT TAKES MY FAMILYROOM TO ANOTHER LEVEL OF WARMTH AND COZY.

  This was a great buy! It gives a room old -world charm and when you put candles inside, it makes a room feel like you are in an exotic middle eastern lounge or bar. It has a latch door and inside is a very sizeable area where you can fit large candles (not like the small teak lights that come with it). It's much larger than I expected (3 feet!) and sits on console table in bedroom. But when it's dark and those candle lights bounce off the intricate designings of the lamp, it's quite magical. It's well made and has an artisan feel like you could have bought it at a market in Marrakech

  I like it but stand/base has come loose and I keep tightening it by spinning it around, I have to do that often. Puts out good light and works well besides that.

  My fiancé loves to decorate for every holiday and uses taky dollar store lights so when I redecorated my compromise was to purchase these lamps and buy colored bulbs in a variety of colors to allow him to still set the spirit of the holiday. So far so good no more tacky strings of heart, shamrock, Easter egg lights but he's still happy.
