- The fiberglass shell allows for added incredible durability without sacrificing the traditional tones of the percussion hand drum
- Originating in Africa, the Shekere is played by rapidly shaking and tossing the shell in the player's hand, generating its distinctive rattle sounds while hitting the bottom of the shell with the palm to create drum-like bass tones
- Hand-strung lattice of plastic beads generate vibrant, loud rattle sounds
- Protective rubber ring surrounds the mouth of the instrument

My almost teen grandson is very musical and he was delighted when he got this for a Chrietmas gift. He has a natural gift and is learning to play several instraments.

I cant believe I paid this much for this shaker. Very disappointed. It's cheap and unoriginal. Looks much better in the photo and the sound is weak. I would not buy this again - for sure!
