Chinese ceramic stools date back to the Ming dynasty. Our garden stools are 100-percent handmade by high fire process. The color of glaze will not fade or change. They function as an extra seat, foot rest, small table, plant stand, cocktail table, etc. Made in Jingdezhen (Jingde Town). It has been termed the 'Porcelain Capital' because of its production of quality china. It has a 1700-year-old history of china production. There are thousands of workshops in Jingdezhen, generation after generation.

Great quality, great price, perfect!
The garden stool is beautiful and of excellent quality. It arrived promptly, safely and well packaged. It is perfect in the place I had planned for it. The color of the background is a very true red, not an orange red as the photo shows. I read this in another review, and so was prepared for it to arrive 'red', not 'orange'. I am very happy with my purchase. This is the second garden stool I have purchased from Overstock, and I have been very pleased with both.

Beautiful
I bought two of these several years ago and love them. I am now going to purchase another. These are outside year round and they are just as pretty as when first purchased.

it came in great condition except it was not the exact color as its seen online too much red!

This was the forth stool I ordered..........they look better in person.....then they do on the web site......bright colors......very well packed.........mine are too nice to put outside.....I've got them throughout the house. A good purchase, a good buy.....

Conversation piece
When I first opened the box, I was thinking this isn't going to work at all as all I could see in my eyes was the yellow. I have no yellow in the room and had just recovered two chairs in a blue and white Williamsburg stripe. I thought getting a blue and white stool would be over kill and a pop of color was just the ticket. This thing is now just perfect after my eyes got adjusted to the "pop" of color and the orangey red works fine with my burgandy sofa and drapes. I love it. It is heavy too, which is a good thing. I went back to O and looked at the picture again even closer and it is pretty true in colors. Glad I have it.

Beautiful color and texture!
I wanted something unusual to put an antique ivory cat statue on. It worked perfectly! I ordered the stool on Sunday and it arrived in perfect condition on Tuesday (in the Xmas rush period.) Overstock comes thru yet again!!!!!!!!!!!
