  It would be good for across the chest wearing. The strap is just cotton fabric, flimsy. I'll probably use it - but not all through the summer like I thought I would. The panel of burlap-ish embroidered section is quite nice and folk-looking, You could use it to carry your groceries home. Or a puppy. Not your bowling ball though.

  I didn't realize that the shoulder strap would be as long as it is. The purse would be fine if you wear it across the body. However, I like to wear it on one shoulder, which makes it difficult to reach inside the purse because it hangs way down below my fingers. The green color is more a dark olive color and the yellow more orangey than it appears on my computer. I would have liked the purse better if the colors had been more muted. I have since purchased another purse because I'm not quite satisfied with this one.

  I ordered what I thought was a bright blue bag and got a black one. It's just a cotton bag. It looks like it came off of a street cart in NYC.

  This is basically what I thought it would be, except the yellow is very bright on the green. It is very comfortable and I love the cell phone pocket on the strap. Just a fun little bag. I use it for the library with my grandchildren
