I wasn't so thrilled with this box, although it was exactly what was stated , I suppose I expected a little more. It was pretty, and different, but I had to take it mind that it was hand made...I think, so it was embossed on this bendable metal stuff, and just put on wood........mind you, it was pretty, I first thought about returning it, but like I said......you have to keep in mind it was handmade!!

Bought for an angel collector. I am a little disappointed in the craftsmanship. It is basically tin wrapped around a wooden frame and the lid is very hard to open up. It is pretty, but don't expect a fine piece of work. For the angel lover, buy it. For the person looking for a jewelry box to last for years to come, keep looking.

My sister recently lost a child and in memory of Joshua she collects angels. When I saw this jewelry box I couldn't think of the perfect gift for her. She loved it and cherishes the quality, detail and design of the box. Very different and definitely a keep sake.

pretty but rough
The box was lovely in pictures and described fairly adequately but didn't mention the sharp edged tin panels tacked to wood in a manner that left sharp, dangerous edges that had to be smoothed and bent by me before I could give the box as a gift. Construction also required work to prevent wood/metal from scratching surfaces it would be placed on and appearance of unfinished wood around the bottom.

I ordered a jewelry box that was very pretty, however the inside was much smaller than I expected.

Depends what you are looking for
Depends what you are looking for... The first one I rec'd was tarnished, scratched, and the lid has been put on at an angle, making opening the top challenging. The nails sticking out of the feet on the bottom just meant I had to be careful what I set it on or that I didn't injure myself accindentally. However, I purchased this as a gift for someone who collects angel-themed items, so I returned it and asked Overstock to send me another one. Overstock was wonderful! I would definitely recommend their customer service and backing of their merchandise. The 2nd one I rec'd was only slightly better than the first, so I would just advise caution ordering this item.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Had to reorder, 2nd one not as tarnished/scratched as first one.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Collector's item only, very poor quality if you want a nice jewelry box.

Poorly made
I bought several of these boxes for Christmas gifts. But when I received them, I was disappointed with their construction. The lids did not meet with the base properly. And considering the size of the box, the storage space inside was very small. I was not impressed with this item at all.

You people giving this product poor reviews sicken
These boxes are being made by people who put a lot of time and effort into them and are most likely getting paid 25 cents for each one. Not to mention the fact that it's TIN over wood, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT.
