Lai describes her passion for jewelry in her own words: 'I work seven days a week but I love what I do because it is fun for me. I've been approached by customers speaking in many different languages. I can usually then sketch out what the customers are talking about which makes my work even more fun. I have this understanding of how the colors as well as patterns and designs of stones come together. It is not hard for me to visualize how to put the natural stones into these floral designs because I love doing it!'
