Story Behind the Art:
The Pro-Teje Committee came about in 1994. The name in Spanish plays on the homonym 'protege,' meaning 'it protects.' It focuses on rescuing textiles created on the back strap loom, with which the weaver maintains the tension of the warp with a belt worn around her waist, leaning backward and forward to tighten or loosen the tension. Maya women weavers who have handed down their textile art from generation to generation for thousands of years.

Great bag-too small
I loved this bag the only problem was the size it needs to be much bigger. I was looking for a lightweight summer bag and thought this was it. Other than the size it was perfect, It just needed to be half again as big. Not a giant bag jus big enough to get you wallet in and out easily. Would have given 5 stars if it was bigger. I sent it back because of the size only.
