Story Behind the Art:
This husband and wife team that met traveling in Asia 17 years ago has created a socially responsible initiative that supports very rare surviving artisan groups in China. The accessories from China are organized by a family with whom they have worked for many years. They organize small tailoring groups where the sewers are paid by piece for their work. No factory or child labor is ever used. Workers are paid higher than average wages and are free to move on at any point. Typically there are waiting lists to become a tailor with their artisan groups. Most of the families supported by this initiative have gone from having no running water to purchasing land, motorized vehicles and sending their children to college. Thank you for supporting this ever growing initiative with great artisans that now have the ability to expose their products to the global market.

Brighter colour than pictured
Pretty scarf with metallic highlights. Ordered the pink version, and I would not describe it as pink. It's more a reddish rust. Quality appears to be good; fabric is heavier than expected.
