Jiap Rojjana was born into a farming family. Her parents worked hard to send the children to school. Jiap wanted to continue his education, so she set off to northern Thailand, looking for work to pay for university. 'The idea of working with textiles came after visiting a silk shop. Such a wide range of beautifully colored, intricate cloth patterns mesmerized me! I bought some cloth to make myself a dress. With scrap pieces, I made a few cushions for a friend, who liked them so much, she offered to buy more as gifts. So, I started making clothes, wall hangings, table runners, cushion covers and more in beautiful silk and cotton. I became enthralled; I was doing something I loved and bringing in an income. Eventually, I was able to support my two children and send money to my parents, brother and sister.'

handbag
The handbag is beautiful and functional. However, one of the buttons came off within a few days. I was able to sew it back on securely and reinforced the other one. I'm hoping the bag will last at least a year. It could be made more durable by double stitching it and charging more for the extra labor. Jane

Pretty , roomy, colorful!
This is a nice bag. It looks much like the photos on line. Colors are pretty. Seems well made. I like the outside and inside pockets, very handy.
