I purchased both the top and skirt, and love them both. I have gained about 30 pounds over the last couple of years, and this skirt does a beautiful job of hiding the weight. I have received many compliments. Very good quality as well, it looks like I paid much more.

THE skirt was just as described. Comfortable and nice over leggings..Great for casual gatherings,and some work places.

This matches perfectly with the top I purchased earlier which was also black, also boardered in the same rope design and also made of the same fabric. The fabric is a little heavy for high summer but should work out fine for cooler weather such as one finds in late summer and early autumn. Please note: this is not made for large people. You really do have to be slender just to fit into both the skirt and the top but if you are the right size and proportion for this, you WILL turn heads every time you enter a room or just walk down a street. It looks great on the site and I was really excited to wear it, until I received it. Let me preface this by saying that I am 5'5" and 133 lbs. The color and fabric are accurate, it is the fit that is the problem. It would have been great if it came with instructions like sarongs do. I had to figure out how to wrap it and it feels like it would wrap around me three times. Needless to say it makes me look much thicker than I am. It is also shorter than the picture, so to make it the pictured length I tried wrapping it lower, like around my hips instead of my waist. Well, it made me look huge there too. It also does not hang straight, sort of crooked when wrapped. I am going to give it another try and see if I can get it to wrap in a flattering manner. If not, into the donations bag it goes.

I would not recommend this item unless you are very tall. The waist is pretty weird as the tie belt is attached in the back about 4 inches below the top of the very wide (6 or 8 inches) waistband, so that the whole thing kind of bunches up above the belt. The material is nice, as is the embroidery. It just looked like a big black sack on me.

I love it and can't wait to have an oppurtunity to wear it. I am having trouble figureing out how to tye it so that it lays smooth but that is probably operator error.

I liked it more in the photo - I honestly wish I hadn't gotten it as it's not as versatile as it looked in the picture. Very heavy material and a lot of thickness around the waist.

This skirt is very classy. The only problem is the fold over waist is a bit bulky. I bought the matching top and it makes a very expensive looking outfit.

Loved this skirt. Exactly what the ad said and looks the same as the picture. The only thing for those who fit size 22 and up won't fit this item.

I am returning this skirt,becouse the fabric is to thick and heavy. I was looking for something thin and light. But different people different opinions...

This could be very attractive if I knew how to wear it. The material is heavy so I think that summer would not be the time to wear it.

Understandably took a little bit of time to ship halfway around the world, but arrived in good condition and works wonderfully.

The skirt is perfect. Glad that I ordered it and can't wait for warmer temps so I can wear this with some snappy wedge heels.

Still not sure if I want to keep the skirt. As someone else stated, there is a lot of fabric. It may help if you want to cover your weight but since I'm trying to show off what I've lost, I'm having the opposite problem! However, because it's a nice "weighty" fabric (which is better than being too flimsy or see through) it is something I'm considering keeping. With the skirt and the lovely top (which I bought first and then came across the skirt later), it may be a bit "too much" fabric, although I absolutely love the material and the design! I'm wondering if the white version might be a bit less "full" looking...hmm.....

This is not 40.5" in length. That is the length of the skirt without the waist being folded over to tie the belt as instructed. They counted the 6.5" fabric that folds down over the belt. They should not have added the waist band length that folds down over the skirt area as part of the over all length.

This product arrived in a timely manner and wears great!! Had to do some modification, like placing a button, but that was my personal choice...

I love this skirt! I am 5'5" and the skirt goes down to my ankles, so just be aware that it is long. The waist folds over the tie, which is a little different, but still looks real nice, and is so very comfortable. The workmanship is wonderful, and it goes well with my boho or hippie style tops. Thanks Overstock for a good product from thailand!

I was very pleased with the material, is heavy and well made. It did take me a little to figure out how to wrap it around me and how the material folds over on top. But over all is well made, and it can be used in the Summer and Fall.
