Story Behind the Art:
Ni Luh Suryati learned the intricate process of double ikat weaving and dyeing from her own mother. 'In creating the double ikat cloth, I am inspired by Balinese tradition, especially Tenganan tradition. This fabric, made from a process found only in Tenganan and two other locales on earth, is believed to have the power to ward off evil.'

Unfortunate purchase
I did not feel the description was accurate. The tapestry looked cheap, not hand-woven. Disappointing quality for the price. I returned the product.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very thin cotton, did not match the description of what I would consider hand-woven material.
