Story Behind the Art
Veena comes from a family long-involved in traditional arts and crafts. 'We didn't have a comfortable lifestyle and I was able to study only up to 8th grade because I was the oldest in the family and had lots of responsibilities. My husband is also an artisan and we now work together. He brings patchwork from Gujarat and we transform it into our designs. We started with only wall hangings but now create a wide range of bedspreads, cushion covers, handbags, curtains and more.'
