Born in 1959, Maria Ramos is a specialist in the creation of beautiful Andean applique, an art which she learned at the age of eight. 'I enjoy using a variety of bright, cheerful colors to give my art life and energy,' she says. 'The landscapes are a special inspiration to me and I love to depict my picturesque Peruvian highlands.'
