Story Behind the Art:
'My name is Jariya Kakaew. I grew up in a small, warm family environment. My mother has long specialized in batik and I often helped her. However, demand for batik work decreased and my brother resigned from his job to design cotton clothes. Our cotton designs focus on using natural materials for a modern lifestyle. It brings plenty of work to everyone involved, including people from different villages who help us transform cotton into different styles of clothing and decorative items.'

Unusual!
I don't think you'll run into anyone else wearing one of these! The fabric is heavier and more dense than it appears, so it is warmer and it can definitely be worn in cooler weather, especially since you must wear at least a camisole under it for modesty (those armholes are cut to the waist!) I have worn it with a thin, long-sleeved turtleneck under it, and it looked smashing! It lends itself to all sorts of creative looks, so it can be used in many spheres. Go ahead and buy one: you'll find yourself reaching for it more often than you might think! Oh, I forgot to mention that this is truly a "one size fits all": I wear size 22-24!

Beware!
Buyer Beware! I was not happy with this top - it was TOTALLY unflattering to me - when I tried to return I was told it was "non returnable" - just thought you should know this before purchasing it.

Looking Good!
I love this top! Though I normally wear a 1X, I ordered a large, since all the reviews kept commenting on how large it runs. The "L" fit perfect with room for shrinkage. I am very large-busted, so the top really looks nice with the extra room. The color is great, a little different from what was protrayed in the picture, but very nice. I had also ordered the "Thai Deluxe Wraparound Skirt" at the same time. I didn't order them to wear together, but guess what? I will! They look great together due to the same color twine trim (I love the skirt, too, feel very "Boho"). The packaging was so cool, I kept the unique paper it was wrapped in, and I find the quality of workmanship very nice. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to look nice and unique. Disappointed
Too big with lots of fabric in the waist area. The fabric is heavy and the gathering is very loose. I'm 5'5" 130 and was disappointed. I was hoping it would be more flattering.

kinda plain around the neck
Neck is very plain, it definitly needs a necklace to go with it. It took a while to get here but man it was worth the wait. I love this style. wish I could find more like it.

beautiful, unusual, odd fit
This top is gorgeous and very unique. Every time I wear it, people compliment it. I would normally wear a L, but ordered the M due to other reviews. The medium is big enough and roomy without being a tent. It IS a bit of a strange cut. It's basically a rectangle folded in half with a hole for your head and elastic around the waist. The "sleeves" are open to the waist, so a camisole or tee is necessary. The elastic around the bottom goes up too high - there are many rows of skinny elastic, so the cinched part went all the way up to my ribs and didn't look right. I removed about half the rows of elastic, from the top down, leaving me with about 6 inches of elastic that goes around my hips/belly. It looks much more flattering this way and I love it. It would be nice if the makers just put less elastic rows in, but it's a beautiful, unusual shirt and I'm very pleased with it! If you don't mind doing a little tweaking to get the best fit for your shape, it's well worth it.

I am so disappointed. I LOVED the look of this poncho-type shirt but unfortunately it was way to big. I should have listened to the majority of the reviews which stated a very generous cut but instead based my purchase on a review in which the person wore my regular size. I* dont think this top would look good on a small framed or short person. There is A LOT of material going on which completely dwarfed me. It looked terrible on me.I'm sadly returning this product.
