Jiap Rojjana's parents worked hard to send the children to school. Jiap wanted to continue his education, so she set off to northern Thailand, looking for work to pay for university.
'The idea of working with textiles came after visiting a silk shop. I bought some cloth to make myself a dress. With scrap pieces, I made a few cushions for a friend, who liked them so much, she offered to buy more as gifts. I became enthralled. I was doing something I loved and bringing in an income. Eventually, I was able to support my two children and send money to my parents, brother and sister.
