I don't understand all the positive reviews except that people who do not sew or know textiles are unable to judge this item's quality. Course, thinly woven, long stitches that will not hold, colors are bluish black and gold, no brown anywhere. I expect the black dye to run if it is washed. This would be ok as a reusable shopping tote bag for $12, but not as a purse for this price. I use a lot of international fabrics and this is not handwoven, hand dyed or hand anything. It is cheap tourist crap. This is my last purchase from Overstock, tired of the expense and hassle of sending back junk described as quality.

It's every bit what I expected: roomy, comfortable to carry, and I love the hieroglyphics. Just what I was looking for.

This is just a cotton shoulder sack. There is one small zipper compartment on the inside side of the bag. The fabric feels nice. The bag holds a fair amount of junk, my IPad2 with case fits in perfectly with room for all my other stuff. It seems very well made. I have to add, this item came BEAUTIFULLY wrapped, in two kinds of handmade paper! Because of that I'm sending one as a gift. For the money it's a bargain.

It's a great bag and was not that expensive. I love the print on it and am very happy with the product. It shipped sooner than Fedex originally had stated.

Nice, basic bag for casual use. Not as large as I would have liked, I wanted to use it as a carry on, but that was my fault for not noting the width; hoping it is washable. Rustic deep brown with amber colored graphics, not like the picture. The adjustable strap is much appreciated. Delivered much sooner than I anticipated. All in all, a good buy...

Love this bag! Shipping took about two weeks since it came from overseas - no surprise considering it is a Novica item. The quality and colors, and ethnic look of this bag is better than pictured. I also like that the length of the handle can be adjusted. Much better than pictured. Got it for a casual summer look to dress up simple jeans and t-shirt and sandals. You won't be disappointed!

I was a little worried about buying a cotton bag but when it came and I saw that you could tie the purse at any level you wanted it to be it was perfect for what I wanted. I wanted a purse that would go well with Jeans and a pair of shoes that I had purchase a few months ago. The purse and shoes are great together the colors are the same on both and this is why the coloring was so important for me when I viewed it online. This purse looks like it was made to go with my shoes. How many shoes and purses have you seen that go together so perfectly that people ask you where you bought the set at? I haven't had any that were bought together. This is a great jeans handbag thats comfortable and laid back yet interesting and paired so well with a pair of shoes.

I really liked the bag but ended up returning it for something else. I had gotten it for a younger person and her taste was not like I thought it would be. As it turned out, I should have kept it. I could have given it to another person as a gift at another time. A very nice bag, roomy and soft shoulder carry. Could hold a ton of thiings and yet easy to carry.

Gave this purse as a gift, and she just loved it! I saw it later, and it really is a sweet bag. Colors were softer then shades shown in picture.

I LOVE my bag and will buy another very soon! I had a bag similar to this one for a while (May 09). It was tearing in the inside and it was a very thin fabric, so I did some research and found this perfect bag and it's very durable, other then my other one. I also wanted a more ethnic look, so this was the bag for me. It cost more than my other bag, but it was worth the price!
