Story Behind the Art:
As the youngest in a family of rice farmers, Ketut Suwitra had no opportunity for schooling beyond elementary. Walks through the jungle fostered in Suwitra a deep appreciation for nature, while the colorful fabric market of Denpasar gave him a sense of design. After a one year work and study program in Colorado, he returned to his beloved Bali to continue designing elegant wearable art. He masters batik and silk screening techniques, and hand-painting.

Summer wear, a bit small
Attractive and comfortable robe. The lightweight material is well-suited to warm days. This is probably best suited to smaller people-- it looks good on my large frame as long as I don't sit down. At that point, I've got to keep my legs crossed to avoid flashing people. The instructions suggest hand-washing but, gentle cycle seems to be just fine.
