Story Behind the Art:
Originally from Japan, Yumiko Nakayama moved to Indonesia in 1990 and was instantly inspired by traditional techniques. 'My bags carry the beauty of Javanese traditional batik with mostly floral patterns. The batik textile is then combined with matching tiny beads sewn on the motifs.'
